Weston partnered with the Turtle Mountain Teen Arts and Writing program in North Dakota, and workshopped poetry in a weeklong session with Native American teens living on the reservation.

Julia designed and implemented a workshop series in Colorado that was specifically catered to young LGBT+ artists and narratives, partnering with Rainbow Alley and Out Boulder.
Newton High School, Newtown, CT; Northeast Region
Ashley partnered with Cyrenius H. Booth Library in Newtown, CT to create “Writing Po(w)e(r)try,” a series of weekly workshops for students in grades 5 – 9, to reflect on and respond to the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings and tragedy, to heal, and to move forward.
Lusher Charter School, New Orleans, LA; Southwest Region
Madeleine focused on poetry as a means of finding and defining home, partnering with her local Scholastic Art & Writing Awards affiliate in Southeast Louisiana as well as the Greater New Orleans Writing Project, to reflect on and create poetry in response to the 10 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Partnering with Lusher Charter School, Madeleine led workshops with students of all ages, from grade school through high school; the students used pataphors in their poetry in order to explore, define, and reconnect with, New Orleans before and after Katrina.
