Each year we recognize our National Medalists during celebrations in New York City.

Students who receive National Gold Medals or Special Achievement Awards, their educators, and their guests are invited to a celebration of their remarkable accomplishment in June!

National Ceremony

At the National Ceremony at Carnegie Hall, we will honor hundreds of students and their educators with a star-studded ceremony. Recent special guests include Tim Gunn, Alec Baldwin, Sonia Manzano, Amy Schumer, Billy Collins, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The 2019 National Ceremony of the Scholastic Art & Writing awards was June 6, 2019.

Art.Write.Now. National Exhibition

The Art.Write.Now. National Exhibition features the most creative visual art and literary works by teens from across the country. Young artists and writers who receive the top honors in the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards will have their work displayed in New York City.

Student Showcase

Events kick off with our annual Maker Prom at the historic Roosevelt Hotel! As part of the celebration, the Scholastic Awards will host the Student Showcase, which included student talks, art-making workshops, open mic sessions, and film screenings.

National Events Partners

We would like to thank our partners for National Events: Parsons School of Design at The New School, Eugene Lang School for Liberal Arts, Pratt Institute, the Roosevelt Hotel, and Carnegie Hall.
