Alumni Microgrants 2019 Application

The Alumni Microgrant program seeks clear and compelling proposals that advance Alumni development in their chosen practice in any field of creative inquiry. We define creative inquiry as any investigation that informs our humanity through art, writing, performance, social science, math, natural and physical sciences, or technology. Exemplary proposals will demonstrate passion and dedication for the proposed projects.

Project Narrative

Briefly describe the expected outcomes and goals of the proposed project and explain why this work is important to the development of your overarching creative practices and pursuits.*
Please attach additional materials related to your project or overall practice. Attachments can include images, work samples, writing samples, artist statements, or links to online portfolios. Attachments should not exceed two pages and 2MB.

Budget Narrative

Briefly describe the total project budget and the specific budget line items for which grant funds will be used. If the grant would only provide partial funding for your project, please briefly describe the other resources you will use to ensure completion of the project.*

Reporting

Grant recipients are expected to submit a report no longer than two pages and single-spaced within one month of the project end date. The report should briefly describe the progress made towards project goals, list project outcomes (including publications, works of art, exhibitions, research conducted, etc.), and describe any challenges or setbacks. Relevant media, such as photographs, audio, or writing should be included with the report as appendices. Recipients will also be asked to contribute to an Alliance for Young Artists & Writers blog-post and complete a brief survey.
