The Best Teen Writing of 2007 anthology, featuring selected award recipients from The Scholastic Writing Awards of 2007, was released in New York City at the National Council of the Teachers of English conference. The anthology was edited by Justin Beltz, a sophomore at University of Southern California who earned a Gold Award for his Nonfiction portfolio in The Scholastic Writing Awards of 2006. As a recent alum of The Awards selecting the works to be highlighted, Justin has enabled the Alliance to showcase the authentic voices of our nation's best teenage writers as determined by one of their own.
Drawn from more than 411 nationally recognized manuscripts, the 272-page paperback book features student award recipients' work in a wide array of genres, styles and subjects. Highlighted works are available to view from our virtual gallery.
