Highlights
of 2005-2006: Creative
Industry Workshops
During National Celebration Events of 2006, more than 500 award recipients
participated in 75 workshops with creative professionals throughout
New York City. These creative industry workshops included a poetry
writing workshop on the Brooklyn Bridge; a career-building workshop
with editors at The New York Times; a group meeting with literary
and talent agents at Curtis Brown Ltd.; and studio visits with
acclaimed artists and writers around the New York City. The nationally
recognized young artists and writers enjoyed a unique window into
the professional life of leading creative industry professionals,
