| How We'll Remember: Images,
Icons, and Memorials
We think of imagination as an electric
spark, a brainstorm or a flash of insight. But the imagination
on display in the exhibition is just the opposite. It is deliberate.
Though they read on the Internet and watch CNN, many of these
young artists and writers' sense that it is their duty to slow
the flow of images-they are glutted. Their instinct is to shape
and select.
